Travis Kelce is definitely in his “Lover” era.
While wining and dining Taylor Swift in Lake Como, Italy, earlier this week, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wore a casual long-sleeved tee that caused a commotion among the singer’s fans.
The T-shirt featured a depiction of Cupid — the god of love and affection — at the chest.
And many Swifties quickly connected the graphic to the Grammy winner’s song “The Archer,” which features lyrics like, “I’ve been the archer. I’ve been the prey. Who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay?”
Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their excitement about the possible Easter egg.
“HELLO the cupid/archer on his shirt,” one person wrote, while another posted, “TRAVIS’S SHIRT HAS CUPID ON IT STOP”
Some joked that the design could be referencing Swift’s recently updated Eras Tour setlist, which no longer includes “The Archer.”
“I guess Travis just isn’t ready to move on from the fact that Tay removed ‘The Archer’ from the set list, a Swiftie commented.
The NFL pro, who has been linked to Swift since last summer, recently supported the pop star during the Paris leg of her tour, where he was spotted dancing alongside Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper.
Clips from the concert prompted former Eagles player Jason Kelce to make fun of his younger brother on an episode of their “New Heights” podcast, telling the Super Bowl champ that he pulled a very dad-like move.
“You got caught pulling an Ed Kelce move here, taking a video with your flash on,” Jason told Travis. “What are you doing Trav? You’re supposed to be better than this.”
Following the Paris stop, Swift and her boyfriend spent some private time at Villa Sola Cabiati, where it cost $21,000 per night for their three-night stay.
