Kate Middleton pays tribute to Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth with coat dress and pearl drop earrings on Remembrance Sunday

It’s a double dose of Kate Middleton.

After appearing at Saturday’s Festival of Remembrance, the Princess of Wales, 42, again took part in the weekend’s festivities on Sunday.

For the somber event, which honors the fallen Armed Forces, Middleton wore a black Catherine Walker & Co coat dress with a velvet bow detail, as is traditional.

She accessorized with the traditional poppy brooch as well as her Bahrain pearl drop earrings, which she has donned on four different Remembrance occasions, including in 2016.

Middleton used her fashion at Sunday’s event to honor her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, and her late grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II.

The mom of three wore Diana’s favorite designer, Catherine & Co, and she sported the late monarch’s pearl pendant earrings, which each contain one large round diamond paired with four smaller ones, three baguette diamonds and a Bahrain pearl dangling from the base.

Buckingham Palace announced on Friday that the royal, who completed chemotherapy treatment for cancer last month, would make back-to-back appearances alongside her husband, Prince William, and other family members.

She has attended every Remembrance Day event atop the Cenotaph monument in Whitehall in Central London since she married William in 2011, often sporting military-style black jackets to honor those who have died in the line of service.

Last year, she paid tribute to Elizabeth by sporting a pair of enormous pearl and diamond earrings that had not been seen in public for 20 years. The monarch died at the age of 96 in Sept. 2022 and Middleton has worn many of her pearl jewelry pieces in the years since.

In 2021, she wore the Collingwood Pearl Drop earrings from Diana’s collection, channeling her late mother-in-law in an oversized hat that brought back memories of a similar headpiece from 1992.

Middleton’s last public appearance came in October when she and her husband visited with rescuers and family who were affected by an attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class.

She’s made a handful of appearances this year, including at Wimbledon and Trooping the Colour this summer. The royal has reportedly gained her strength back in recent weeks, even returning to the gym.
