Quick, where’s a speed-reader?
Katy Perry teased the lyrics of her forthcoming song “Woman’s World” in an unconventional way on Tuesday, wearing a snippet on the back of her Balenciaga dress during Paris Fashion Week.
While the pop star’s one-shouldered red velvet look featured a super-short hemline, it also included an extra-long train — that trailed an insane 200 yards behind her and was printed with the lyrics.
While it was difficult to actually read the words listed in block letters as Perry, 39, entered the Ritz Paris, fans floooded lyric website Genius with their best guesses.
“It’s a woman’s world and you’re lucky to be living in it / Sexy, confident / So intelligent / She is heaven-sent / So soft, so strong,” it begins and ends, “Fire in her eyes / Feminine divine / She was born to shine.”
Fans were loving the singer’s latest dedication to statement-making fashion ahead of her return to music.
“POP GIRLS TAKE NOTES, THIS IS HOW YOU DO A ROLLOUT,” one person wrote on X.
Another crowned her “Queen of Camp,” while a third declared, “this is pop culture.”
Despite the heavy push of advertisement, the new single does not come out until July 11, with a music video to drop the following day.
The former “American Idol” judge has been a breakout star of Paris Fashion Week so far, making her musical statement after appearing on the runway in a risqué leather cutout dress as part of the spectacular Vogue World: Paris show.
She got some help before hitting the streets, posting behind-the-scenes videos on Instagram.
“Just make sure it’s not dead behind the eyes, make sure you look like you’re going somewhere, but like not in a pop star way,” FKA Twigs can be heard telling Perry in the clip, to which she quipped, “I’ve only ever been a pop star!”
Supermodel Cara Delevingne advised the “Roar” singer to be “like a tiger.”
Mission accomplished.
