Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle show will hit Netflix early next year, industry sources tell Page Six.
The Duchess of Sussex has finished filming the as-yet-untitled project, which will be a companion piece to her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, close to her home in Montecito, Calif.
A source told us the show, in which Markle cooks and puts herself forward as a lifestyle guru like Martha Stewart, looks “gorgeous”.
Harry, 39, is strongly rumored to make at least a few cameos in the series, but sources remained tight-lipped about whether he will have an actual role in the show.
Although filming for Netflix has finished, it still takes months for the show to be edited as it has to be synched up for countries around the world with audio and subtitles, and it should be on our screens in early 2025, Page Six understands.
There is also no date confirmed for the launch of the American Riviera Orchard brand yet, we’re told.
Markle — who will celebrate her 43rd birthday on Sunday — has planned to launch the show in conjunction with the brand, which aims to produce a range of products, from jams to dog biscuits.
However, we previously revealed local farmers and manufacturers in the Santa Barbara region had not heard anything about Markle’s jam-making, nor had they been approached to help out the brand.
Markle may well have picked up some business tips — and possibly even some funding — after joining high-powered business women in The Hamptons Friday at the G9 Ventures Summit, run by Amy Griffin.
The event was attended by stars including Katie Couric, Laura Dern and make-up guru Bobbi Brown as well as Markle pals Misha Nonoo and Victoria Jackson.
Although the launch may be on the backburner, Markle recently send out 50 jars of homemade jam to influential pals including Kris Jenner, Tracee Ellis Ross and Mindy Kaling as well as Harry’s BFF, polo star Nacho Figueras and his wife, Delfina Balquier.
Markle’s own bestie, Abigail Spencer, got a jar, as did fashion designer Tracy Robbins, who is married to Paramount Pictures CEO Brian Robbins.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais was gifted jam, as was Chrissy Teigen and Alliance of Moms co-founder Kelly McKee Zajfen.
Markle teased the launch of American Riviera Orchard back in March with soft-focus footage of herself arranging pink flowers and stirring something in a bowl.
Although the show will be glam, the mom-of-two didn’t film at her own $14.5 million home, but instead, took the cameras to a stunning estate owned by wealthy neighbors Tom and Sherrie Cipolla just two miles away.
The Cipollas boast a property portfolio worth more than $20million, including two dozen buildings in Los Angeles County and Santa Barbara. They also run a physical therapy practice.
