Prince Harry is grateful for his two children ahead of his 40th birthday.
‘”The best gift I’ve ever been given is, without a doubt, my kids,” the Duke of Sussex told People Wednesday about his son, Prince Archie, 5, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 3, whom he shares with his wife, Meghan Markle.
“I enjoy watching them grow every single day, and I love being their dad.”
Page Six previously reported that Harry is planning to celebrate his big day — which lands on Sept. 15 — with a party organized by the Duchess of Sussex, 43, in Montecito, Calif., where they reside.
The prince will then enjoy a weekend getaway with his close friends in the mountains, according to multiple outlets.
Harry and Markle rarely speak about Archie and Lilibet, whom they welcomed in May 2019 and June 2021, respectively.
Most recently, the “Suits” alum revealed that her daughter is shaping up to be a confident little girl with a strong voice.
“I know how it feels when you don’t utilize your voice when you need to be heard or have something to say,” Markle told the crowd at the panel discussion titled “Afro-Descendant Women and Power: Voice of Equity” with Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez last month.
“I encourage our daughter to do so — who, at 3, has absolutely found her voice, and we are so proud of that.”
Though Harry will be surrounded by his immediate family for his birthday, he will not have the support of his relatives in London, such as his dad, King Charles III, and his older brother, Prince William.
Last month, Harry and the Prince of Wales, 42, were in the same room together while attending their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’ funeral in Snettisham, Norfolk, but did not interact.
William reportedly does not want his younger brother present at his coronation, which will take place after the death of their father, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year at the age of 75.
The Invictus Games founder has had a strained relationship with Charles and William since he and Markle quit their royal duties and moved to North America in 2020.
The couple then sat down for a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which the American Riviera Orchard founder, who is biracial, claimed members of the royal family had questioned how dark her son Archie’s skin would be when he was born.
Things between Harry and his relatives worsened even more after the release of his bombshell memoir, “Spare,” in January 2023.
The military veteran has not made amends with his dad because the monarch has not reinstated security detail for him and his family when they travel to the UK.
