Vacation may be over, but the beard is here to stay.
Prince William appeared to return to his rugged look on Thursday, showing off some scruff as he attended a private viewing of the “Homelessness: Reframed” exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
For the event, the 42 year old keep his outfit somewhat relaxed, opting to wear a structured navy suit over a light blue collared shirt that he left unbuttoned.
People were obsessed with the return, with one tweeting, “I demand Prince William apologise right now for being so hot.” Another said, “William’s beard is back and he’s never looked better! 🤩 Let’s hope he keeps the razor away this time … because this glow-up is 🔥”
A third wrote, “I love this era😮💨.”
The royal initially debuted some facial hair over the summer, taking to Instagram alongside his wife, Kate Middleton, to congratulate Team Great Britain as the 2024 Paris Olympics came to a close.
The comments section on the Reel quickly became flooded with complements, with people praising the Prince of Wales’ new look.
“I had to watch that again, just to see William’s stubble – wowza! 🙌” one person wrote, while another joked that the makeover was distracting,
“I’ll be honest, didn’t hear anything anyone said after I saw William with beard…..🤩🥵.”
However, a few weeks later, the facial hair was gone, and a classic, clean-shaven Prince William was seen attending church with his family.
The return to his old look prompted people to speculate that the beard was simply a choice for the summer before returning to royal duties in September — but clearly, there was a change of heart.
This, of course, isn’t the first time that Prince William has gone for a grown-out look.
Back in 2008, he arrived at Christmas Day church services with a thick beard, but in recent years, has seemed to favor a bare face.
We can only imagine the prince is mulling over a no-shave November.
