Whoopi Goldberg admits she once ‘begged’ Christian Siriano to make her a dress: ‘Please help me!’

Whoopi Goldberg reflected on pleading with Christian Siriano to make her a gown at the very beginning of his career.

The famous fashion designer appeared on Thursday’s episode of “The View” when Goldberg recalled calling Siriano before hosting the 2008 Tony Awards –– shortly after he won “Project Runway.”

“I called and begged him,” Goldberg confessed. “I was one of the first! I begged him, because I saw what he did, and I was like, ‘Please help me!’”

Siriano obliged and dressed the EGOT winner in a custom black high-low gown with floral embellishments and ruffle detail.

“The New Red Carpet” author, 39, agreed and chimed in to say, “Whoopi was one of the first people I ever dressed.”

“I didn’t even have a studio!” Siriano shared. “When Whoopi called, it was literally, like, I had no studio, [and] made things work. She was hosting the Tonys. I mean, it was a struggle, but they looked great in the end, they really did.”

The “Sister Act” actress, 69, nodded in approval and said, “Yeah, they were good, they were great!”

Goldberg has been a longtime fan of Siriano –– whom she referred to as “one of the best there ever was” –– and has worn his looks several times over the years.

The “View” co-hosts also referenced another Siriano layered angular blue dress she wore for a 2021 “Variety” cover.

“Major, major!” Siriano said of the dress.

Goldberg –– who mostly sticks to casual outfits and pants for her everyday wear –– stunned in a colorful green, yellow and purple off-the-shoulder gown for the 2018 Oscar Awards, also by Siriano.

“He said, ‘I’m going to make it so you’ll be comfortable,’” Goldberg said on the red carpet at the time. “So it has pockets.”

Seems like a match made in fashion heaven.
